Nick, a Chartered Architect, comes from a long line of distinguished architects. He is a founding partner of the practice with 30 years’ experience in a senior position on a wide range of public and private sector projects in the UK and overseas, including masterplans, development plans, and buildings with complex functional and engineering requirements. Nick set up Lomax, Cassidy & Edwards in 1990 and merged with Archimed to form LCE Architects in 1998.
Through an extensive knowledge of the development process he is able to give clear, strategic thinking and promote innovative solutions to complex design and planning problems. He is passionate about the importance of good design in the context of understanding clients’ needs, promoting business-sound solutions and providing a positive impact on the building user experience.
Nick is also a member of the Management Board of SECBE (South-East Centre for the Built Environment) and sits on the Committee of the local Constructing Excellence Club. He has for several years been Governor/Chair of the Built and Natural Environment Committee of a large comprehensive school overseeing and monitoring their PFI project.
